AMSTERDAM - Is de ophef over de vrouwonvriendelijke hiphoppers eindelijk voorbij, komt De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig met de nieuwe plaat Parels voor de Zwijnen. Met op de hoes, inderdaad, de vrouwen als zwijnen.

“De hoes is gewoon het visuele equivalent van de titel,” zegt P. Fabergé (voorheen P. Dronq), een van de drie rappers van De Jeugd van Tegenwoordig.

Sabine Niederer is managing director of the Institute of Network Cultures in Amsterdam, which was founded by Geert Lovink in 2004, and is based at School for Interactive Media, HvA. She obtained her MA in art history at Utrecht University in 2003, with a thesis on manipulated art photography from Dada – now. From 2001-2004 she worked as curator of Hoogt4, the platform of film-related arts at Filmtheatre ‘t Hoogt in Utrecht. She has taught new media and media theory at Utrecht University, Willem de Kooning Academy Rotterdam, Hogeschool van Amsterdam and University of Amsterdam. Sabine Niederer is one of the curators of the bimonthly film and video program ‘Cinematiek’, and the Art & Science programme of Impakt Online.
